Dr. Dre, whose actual name is Andre Romelle Young, is a rapper, entrepreneur, and a producer. He was born in Compton, California, the United States of America, on February 18, 1965, to Verna Young and Theodore. However, when he turned seven, his parents divorced each other.
Later, Verna remarried twice. Andre attended Fremont High School, Vanguard Junior High School, Centennial High School, and Roosevelt Junior High School. Warren G is his stepbrother, while Sir Jinx is his cousin. Andre was academically mediocre and had to drop his plan of joining Northrop Aviation Company. He was a good diver while in school, but lack of practice and attendance cost him his position in the team.
Similar to The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash on the Wheels of Steel, Andre would visit clubs at night only to observe rappers and disk jockeys. Soon, he too became one among them. There, Andre had a chance encounter with DJ Yella. Together, they recorded several tracks. Under Kru-Cut Records, Andre joined World Class Wreckin' Cru.
In 1980's Andre ruled the music scene. He created N.W.A and the Posse, 100 Miles and Runnin', Rapped in Romance, and others. Most of his works have impressed the audiences as well as the awards' jury. Andre has collaborated with several artists too. He has acted in Up In Smoke Tour, Niggaz4Life: The Only Home Video, and much more.
Andre lent his voice to Grizz, a video game named 50 Cent: Bulletproof's character. He founded Beats Electronics and Aftermath Entertainment. In 2014, Andre won the Hustler of the Year award. Andre has a history of assaulting and abusing several women, and most of them had also initiated legal action against him. In 1992, the course found him guilty of the misdemeanor with a police officer. Two years later, authorities pulled him for drunk driving.
Though Andre has dated multiple women, he has two daughters and four sons named La Tanya Danielle Young, Truly, Curtis Young, Marcel, Truice, and Andre Young Jr. from Cassandra Joy Greene, Lisa Johnson, Jenita Porter, Michel'le, and Sedale Threatt's ex-wife. Of them, Andre Young Jr. died when he was twenty owing to his heroin addiction. In 2001, he sold some part of Aftermath Entertainment and earned fifty-two million dollars.
