Jane Rosenthal was born on 21st September, 1956, in Denver, Colorado, USA. She is the daughter of Martin Rosenthal and Ina Rosenthal, the actress from the movie ‘Howl’.

Jane is married to Craig Hatkoff, who is an American real estate investor, writer, and also a philanthropist. They together have two daughters, Juliana Hatkoff (author), and Isabella Hatkoff (author).

The producer pursued her education from New York University and Brown University. She holds a degree of doctorate in fine arts.

She is one of the most successful producers of the American cinema, who has worked on diverse projects. She started producing movies from 1992 onwards, and is still at the top of her game. She is credited for the production and development of around 70 films till now, for which she has worked as a producer, and an executive producer. The producer had a 9-year stint at CBS, and she also briefly worked at Disney.

She co-founded the studio in Manhattan in 1989. She is also the co-chairman of this studio. She has established a non-profit institution, Tribeca Film Institute, and also organized the first annual Tribeca Festival in 2002.

The producer is a major supporter of the Democratic Party and also raised funds for the presidential campaign of Bill Clinton.
