Sally Hawkins

Sally Cecilia Hawkins is an English actress. She is one of the most prolific actresses in Hollywood and her role as ‘Elisa’ in an upcoming film, ‘The Shape of Water’, by director ’Guillermo del Toro ‘, is spoken so much in the media that she hopes to get a nomination for Oscar too. 

In this movie, she has a friendly relationship with the mysterious Fish Man and the kind of fairy tale twist is given to the narration, is really a captivating one. Born on April 27, 1976, in South London, the actress was stage artiste who made her first debut in Broadway theatre play ‘Mrs. Warren's Profession’ which was staged in 2010.

Later she even appeared in BBC TV shows, namely ‘Tipping the Velvet’ (2002) and ‘Finger smith’ (2005). Her evolution as an actress was not that steady as she has acted in a very good movie but those movies had enabled her to win accolades and recognition worldwide.

Some of the best-known of her films are ’Vera Drake’ (2004) and ‘Happy-Go-Lucky’ (2008). The actress made her debut as a supporting actress in a movie named ‘All or Nothing’ in 2002.  Her best movie till today happens to be ‘Blue Jasmines’ that released in 2013.
