Fagun Thakrar

Fagun Thakrar is an English actress, born in Leicester, England. She studied at Beauchamp College in Oadby. While studying at the University College London, she simultaneously pursued acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Later, she trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and graduated from there in 2014.

She has performed as Juliet in the play, Romeo and Juliet. She has worked in many English, Bollywood and Hollywood films. The Times of India, critic Meena Iyer, appreciated the actors and said that despite being based on true incidents, the film managed to connect emotionally. In the first weekend, it earned Rs. 70 Lakh in India and at the U.S box office, it grossed $6,150. She has even worked as a co-producer for the short film Winter’s Love, that released on 2014.

She also appeared in the crime drama thriller ‘Blood and Curry’; wherein she played the role of Deepa Verma, a wife in an arranged marriage who joins her husband in America. She has designed a fashion collection under her name, which got launched on the red carpet with Serena Williams.

She is also the International spokesperson for South Asian Helpline And Referral Agency (SAHARA), an organisation that supports women in Southern California’s growing community of South Asians through personal crises. She is the winner of BBC reality show ‘Bolly Idol’; later she got a chance to act in the musical stage drama Precious Bazaar.
