Regina began acting in 1985 with her role on the TV show 227 s Brenda. In the early 2000s Regina began roles on television. One role was her voice acting for the TV show, The Boondocks and the other was her lead role on the show Southland. Her role in Southland got her nominated for Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in both 2012 and 2013.
