Joyce DiDonato

Joyce DiDonato whose real name is Joyce Flaherty is an American actress, producer and songwriter. Joyce was born on the 13th of February 1969 in Prairie Village, Kansas. She belongs to an Irish-American family. Her father was Donald, a self-employed architect and her mother was Amy Hetherington, a music teacher at a school. She was the sixth of seven siblings. Joyce and her siblings attended St. Ann Catholic School, where their mother worked as a teacher. She later went to Bishop Miege High School. She studied vocal music education from Wichita State University (WSU).

After her graduation from WSU, she went to the Academy of Vocal Arts to pursue graduate in vocal performance. Joyce started her professional career with several regional opera companies in 1998.
