Laura Prepon is a model, producer and actress who became popular for essaying the role of Dona Pinciotti in the period sitcom, That ‘70s Show on Fox. She was born on March 7, 1980 at Watchung, New Jersey in U.S. She is the youngest daughter of Marjorie and Michael Prepon. Her mother came from the English and Irish lineage while her father was from Jewish and Russian lineage. She went to Watchung Hills Regional High School and attended Total Theatre Lab by Caroline Thomas in year 1996.

While in New York, she performed in plays like A Woman of Property and the Ascension Day. In 1996, she made an appearance in the music video for the song, 6 Underground by Sneaker Pimps. In 1997, she appeared in the Internet-only soap opera, They Go On, funded by Levi Strauss. Laura has done some modeling in countries like Brazil, Milan and Paris.

In 2001, she did the independent comedy-music film, Southlander. While doing a break from That ‘70s Show, she acted on the film, The Pornographer: A Love Story, which portrays a director-actress obsessive relationship. She also played as Reanna Cass in the romantic comedy film, Slackers in year 2002. Laura was also the presenter of several award shows like the 2000 Teen Choice Awards, Second Annual TV Guide Awards and more. She was also featured twice in the cover of Maxim and has done television ads for Gap clothing. In 2002, she was named as one of the ‘102 Sexiest women in the World’ by the Stuff magazine and in 2005, she was one of the ‘Hot 100’ by Maxim magazine. Laura also did a cameo voice appearance in the video game, Halo 2 in 2004. In the same year, she did her first remarkable film role in Lightning Bug, from which she also produced. She made a guesting in the very popular late-night talk shows, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Last Call with Carson Daly. In 2003, Laura made an episodic on MTV’s Cribs.

She played the gray-shaded character of Karla Homolka in the drama-thriller film, Karla in 2005. This is a true-to-life story of Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka; most-wanted serial killers in Canada. In the same year, Laura is also the Executive Producer of the poker television show, E! Hollywood Hold’em. In 2007, she played as Hannah on ABC’s October Road but after a year, the show was canceled. Laura also acted in a short film entitled, Once Upon a Time. The actress was featured in the romantic comedy film, Romancing the Bride opposite with Matt Cedeño. She also voiced the character of Hayley Smith in the adult animated sitcom, ‘American Dad!’ in 2005. She appeared in the episode, A Front in Need in the dramatic series, In Plain Sight on USA Network. Laura donned the role of Karen in the episode, ‘Sorry, Bro’ of the sitcom, How I Met Your Mother in 2009. She also acted in episodes, The Front Porch, Say Cheese and Private Lives.

In 2011, Laura also acted in an episode of the crime drama series, Castle. Later, she bagged the main lead role as Chelsea Newman in the sitcom, ‘Are you There, Chelsea?’The show was canceled in year 2012. She played as Hannah in her guest appearance at the comedy series, Men at Work opposite with Danny Masterson Daniel Peter Danny Masterson was born on 13th Marc >> Read More... . In 2012, Laura was roped in to play the role of Alex Vause, an ex drug dealer in the comedy-drama series, Orange Is the New Black on Netflix. The show was aired on July 2013 and she appeared on the first season and few episodes on the second season.
