Amanda Peet

Amanda Peet was born to Penny and Charles, a social worker-lawyer duo on January 11, 1972, in New York City. Peet went to Friends Seminary, before graduating from Columbia University.Peet tied knots with producer, screenwriter, and novelist David Benioff on September 30, 2006, and lives in Manhattan. She has three children with him: Frances Pen Benioff born on February 20, 2007; Molly June Benioff born in 2010; and Henry Benioff born on December 6, 2014. Peet's first appeared in a television advertisement for Skittles. She made her big screen debut in the thriller Animal Room in 1995 where she played the character of Debbie.

How I Met Your Mother famed actor Neil Patrick Harris also starred in this movie. She also featured in Law & Order as Leslie Harlan in the same year. In the year 1999, Peet starred opposite Sarah Gellar in the American romantic comedy Simply Irresistible. She played Chris, ex-girlfriend of Sean Flanery's role, Tom. In the year 2000, she featured in the comedy film The Whole Nine Yards playing Jill St. Claire Tudeski, a self-proclaimed assassin. This movie brought won her wider recognition. She also starred in the movies sequel, The Whole Ten Yards continuing with the previous character in the year 2004.
