Born on August 24, 1981, Chad Michael Murray is an actor, model, writer, and spokesperson for America. Murray started his career as a model first. He used to model for brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Gucci. Soon he began his acting career in 2000, with the show Gilmore Girls where he played the role of a rich brat named Tristan DuGrey. A permanent character throughout season 1, later on, Tristan DuGrey only appeared in a few episodes. He was then cast in the show Dawson Creek in 2001, as a boy named Charlie Todd. He then stepped into Hollywood with Walt Disney’s movie Freaky Friday where he played the role of a rebellious teen named Jake, the protagonist’s love interest.
This movie was a huge success receiving extremely good reviews from critics. In 2003, Murray landed the role of Lucas Scott on the show One Tree Hill. Murray, later on, went to explain this role was very close to him as he was abandoned by his mother at young age and thus understood Lucas’s plight. This show was extremely popular and pushed Murray further up the ladder of success. He also won the Teen Choice Breakout Movie Star- Male Award for this role. In 2004, he got engaged and married to One Tree Hill co-star Sophia Bush, however, they got divorced five months later. After his role in One Tree Hill, he was cast as the male lead in the movie A Cinderella Story alongside Hillary Duff.
The movie did fairly receiving mixed reviews from the critics. His role in this movie once again won him the Teen Choice Breakout Movie Star- Male Award. In 2005, he got a role in the movie House Of Wax for which he got the Teen Choice Movie Actor: Adventure/Action/Thriller Award. In 2005, he started dating Kenzie Dalton and got engaged to her however they broke off their engagement after seven years.
In the year 2011, he published his first book called Everlast. In August 2014, he got the role of Agent Jack Thompson on the new show Agent Carter. In 2014, he got married to Sarah Roemer and had a son with her.
