The actor gave his first audition in England and was recalled for a second audition again. After passing the second screen test, the actor was confirmed to play the role. Both of them (director and actor) had met in a London hotel and the role was assigned to him.

While narrating his role to Marco, Vikas Bahl got too excited and had offered him the role of  Marcello, who kisses Kangana in the film. Before getting a break in 'Queen', it is said that the director Vikas Bahl had contacted Marco through actor's agent. In the film 'Queen', the actor played the role of Italian restaurant owner. After the success of ‘Queen’, the dashing Swiss actor is now open for any kind of roles in Hindi film or Hindi TV series.

It is said that after seeing his first audition tapes in India, Kangana was inclined to work with him. This is how the actor made his foray into Bollywood.
