Nayyar was born in 1981 on April 30th in London, England. Despite this he was raised in New Delhi India. In New Delhi he played badminton for his high school, St. Columba’s School. In 1999 Kunal decided to move to America in hopes of getting his college degree. He wanted to get a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He attended the University of Portland and while he was studying he also took acting classes on the side. He also appeared in a few of the school’s plays. Kunal made his decision to pursue acting full time after he participated in the American College Theater Festival. He then went on to attend Temple University where he got his Master of Fine Arts in acting. Kunal did several small ads and commercials for a while before finally acting in his first US production.
