, popularly known as Raj in the popular TV sitcom “Big Bang Theory,” recently attended Asian Awards that took place in London. At the event, he shared his pleasure in being able to promote diversity in the US. The 35-year-old actor feels that presently there is an opportunity for people from diverse culture, including the ethnic minorities, to be a part of the industry in the US and do well. He says that the current phase is a pleasant one for the talented actors and directors, or any profession related to Hollywood, across the globe. He, with no intention to be biased towards India, says that skilled and trained people from Asia are especially doing well’ he encourages the Asian talents to buck up and work harder.
Nayyar says that it is disappointing when people demean the hard work that actors put in- he finds it strange when they accept and agree to the fact that sportspersons and musicians train and people who belong to the field of acting don’t. The actor, who has studied mastered in acting after studying it for seven years, humbly accepts rejects and feels that only hard work can make him better.
