Erik Kenneth William Knudsen, famously known to the film industry as Erik Knudsen, was born on 25 March, 1988, in Toronto, Canada. His first impression on acting was when he worked for the Visa TV commercial at a very tender age. Then, he decided to become an actor in the future. At a point of time, he deviated from his aim and wanted to become a police officer. But taking into consideration the height and weight, he again aimed to become an actor. Even his parents agreed to it, but asked him to have a second option. He thought that keeping an option B may be misleading. Nevertheless, now, Erik Knudsen is one of the leading youngest actors.
Erik Knudsen did his first appearance as Alex in the 1999 TV series, Real Kids, Real Adventures. After this role, he appeared in many roles, which made him a star. Then, he played a role in the David Hollander directed TV series, The Guardian, in 2001. This TV program got a nomination for the Golden Globe Award, and Erik got a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance as a guest role category. In yet another role as Donovan Mackay in the TV series, Mental Block, in 2003, he entertained the audience. He grabbed the role of Daniel Matthews for the American 2005 horror thriller, ‘Saw 2’. Though it is Darren's first movie, it got mixed reviews. Nevertheless, it is a commercial hit, and the critics praised the efforts that went into making the film by a new director. By this time, Erik Knudsen made a mark in the industry and became a celebrity too.
Erik Knudsen took the chance to act in another engrossing horror picture, Scream 4. This movie was a sequel to ‘Scream 3’, in the ‘Scream’ movie series. Erik played the role of Robbie Mercer and took the audience to the heights of horror with this movie. The poster is so scary that it won the Golden Trailer Award in Best Poster category. This cinema got six nominations including the Golden Schmoes Award for Best Horror Picture.
Erik Knudsen also played roles in some other movies, one of them being, The Barens. He did the role of Alec Sadler in the series, ‘Continuum’. This role of Erik appealed to the audience to the maximum extent.
