Chris Lowell is a television and film actor from America. Chris was born on 17 October 1984. He spent his childhood years in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, also his birthplace. He attended the distinguished Atlanta International School, where he founded the Film Program and Video Yearbook. Later he studied at the University of South California and the New School as well. It was during his first year at the University of South California that a producer asked him to audition for a role while he was playing beach volleyball. In his first major audition in 2003, he got a role in the show Life as We Know It, a teen drama that aired on ABC. His character Jonathan Fields was shown to be “lacking confidence but highly innovative and down to earth”. The series was aired for just 13 episodes, though. He debuted with the 2006 film Graduation and also acted in a small film titled You Are Here. He was a part of the team of the TV show Veronica Mars in its third season and later acted in the drama Private Practice. He was a part of the latter for three seasons, his stint ending when his character Dell dies from heart attack after there is a complication during a brain surgery.
Lowell played the role of Derrick in the show Enlisted as well. Apart from his acting, he is a singer and plays the harmonica for the acoustic indie band “Two Shots for Poe”. In 2015, he starred for the off-Broadway blockbuster, Jacuzzi, in which he performed at Ars Nova in New York City. Apart from acting and singing, he enjoys amateur filmmaking and also works as a fine art photographer. He is an avid traveler as well. Some of his favorite movies include Chinatown, Crimes and Misdemeanors, Raising Arizona, The Royal Tenenbaums and Goodfellas. He is quite vocal and a supporter of LGBT rights and condemns the way gay characters are portrayed in movies. In one of his personal quotes he says— “I will always be the hopeless romantic, more often pathetic than heroic.”
