Edi Gathegi is an American, Kenyan actor. He was born as Edi Mue Gathegi in Eastlands, Nairobi (capital of Kenya). His father, Dr. John N’ Gathegi, was a professor at the University of South Florida. John had complete Ph.D. and JD at Berkeley from the University of California. He has two siblings, one brother, and one sister. When he was young, his family relocated from Nairobi to California.
