Danny Trejo is an Ethnic-American actor born on May 16, 1944, in Echo Park, California, USA. His father was a construction worker. He was a drug addict as a child, and a criminal, for which he was in and out of jail for 12 years from 1960-1972. While serving time at San Quentin, he won boxing titles. He successfully completed his rehabilitation 12-step process. He had a cocaine addiction, and in an anonymous meeting where a guy asked for his help, is what turned out to be a set for the movie, “The Runway”. The director of this film remembered Trejo from having served time with him at the same correction facility, he offered Danny $300 a day to teach fighting skills to the lead actor of the movie. He was eventually casted as an extra convict in the movie, due to his bulky, heavily-tattooed exterior.
He mostly appears in bulky and masculine roles in Hollywood movies. He is usually seen as a villain or the anti-hero in the features he appeared in. His first big break was the lead opposite
in the movie “The Runway”, in 1985. Subsequently, he appeared in the movie “Con Air”, opposite Nicholas Cage. He also played a villain in the “Spy Kids Trilogy”.

He has a daughter named Danielle Reyna. He started a Mexican Taco shop in La Brea, Los Angeles, California, called “Trejo’s Tacos”, which had a soft opening on 24th January, 2016. He supposedly opened the shop to honour his mother.
