Danny Trejo

Danny Trejo is an Ethnic-American actor born on May 16, 1944, in Echo Park, California, USA. His father was a construction worker. He was a drug addict as a child, and a criminal, for which he was in and out of jail for 12 years from 1960-1972. While serving time at San Quentin, he won boxing titles. He successfully completed his rehabilitation 12-step process. He had a cocaine addiction, and in an anonymous meeting where a guy asked for his help, is what turned out to be a set for the movie, “The Runway”. The director of this film remembered Trejo from having served time with him at the same correction facility, he offered Danny $300 a day to teach fighting skills to the lead actor of the movie. He was eventually casted as an extra convict in the movie, due to his bulky, heavily-tattooed exterior.

He mostly appears in bulky and masculine roles in Hollywood movies. He is usually seen as a villain or the anti-hero in the features he appeared in. He has a daughter named Danielle Reyna. He started a Mexican Taco shop in La Brea, Los Angeles, California, called “Trejo’s Tacos”, which had a soft opening on 24th January, 2016. He supposedly opened the shop to honour his mother.
