Danny Lebern Glover is an American film director, political activist, and actor. He was born on 22nd July 1946 in San Francisco, California. He is the son of James Clover and Carrie. His parents were active members to work for equal rights in the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. 

Glover studied at George High School in Washington, California. For his graduation, he went to San Francisco State University. However, he could not complete that. Later, SFSU rewarded him a degree. He used to train at the workshop of Black Actors of the American Theater. Later, in his adolescent period, he suffered from a disease called epilepsy.

Coming to Glover’s career, before moving to the theater, he worked in the administration of community enhancement and development. His first theater experience was with the Conservatory Theater. At the Shelton Actors Lab, Glover had to train with Jean Shealton. Glover confessed in an interview that Jean had helped him a lot to develop him as an actor. 

Glover resigned from the community administration and moved forward to build his acting career. Later, he founded the Robey Theater along with Ben Guillory and Paul Robeson in 1994 in Los Angeles.

Glover appeared in television and movies and also gave stage performances. He is famous for his acting as police, Roger Murtaugh in Lethal Weapon. Then, he appeared in Predator 2. In The Color Purple, he acted with Celle as her husband. In Witness, he became the Lieutenant McFee. In 1994, he directed a short movie titled as Override.

In 1994, the Robey Theater had focused on black people. Glover made several appearances. One of them was in Liberal Girl that came in 1987. He starred in To Sleep with Anger in Charles Burnett cinema. He won the Best Male Lead at the Independent Spirit Award. He acted in the series Fallen Angels in 1995. He featured in The Royal Tenenbaums in 2001. In 2004, he appeared in Saw. In The Exonerated, he played the character of David Keaton. In 2010, he did I featured in Want to be a Soldier. In 2012, he worked in Echo. He made a biography of Toussaint Louverture. 

Glover took active part in Black Students Union. With the partnership with the America Federation of Teachers, he did a five-month student strike with a motto of establishing a Department of Black Studies. It was successful. It managed to build up the department along with a school of Ethnic Studies.
