He married Lynda Gordon in September 1970 and has three daughters Jamie, Lily and Kate Gordon. Among them, Kate Gordon is also a producer. Charles is called Chuck by his colleagues and friends.

Charles Gordon started his career as a film producer in 1983 with the movie ‘Lone Star’. The movie is all about two brothers who save the Lone Star State from everyday crime and corruption. Next, he debuted as a TV series producer in the same year and produced three series for the next two years. His first television series was ‘The Renegades’.

This was a super hit American drama series of that time which revolved around the gang of six people who join the police as special undercover agents. The next series he came up with in the same year was ‘Just Our Luck’. This series was also a hit and had been well appreciated by the critics. ‘An American sitcom’ is a fantasy about a guy who finds a genie named Shabu. In 1984 his next picture ‘The Streets’ was released followed by another series ‘Our Family Honor’ in 1985.

Since 1986 he began producing pictures only. ‘The Night of The Creeps’ hit the theatres in 1986 which was his first horror comedy film. ‘The Wrong Guys’ and ‘Die Hard’ were released in 1988. The second part of the ‘Die Hard Series’ was released in 1990. Following it ‘The Rocketeer’, ‘The Super’, ‘Unlawful Entry’ also released.

In 1995 Charles came up with ‘Water world’ which was nominated for Stinker Award in 1995 in the category of the best picture and again nominated in the same category in 1996 for Razzie Award. Charles was also nominated in 1990 for Oscar in the best picture category for the movie ‘Field of Dreams’. ‘Trojan War’ and ‘October Sky’ came in 1999. After this, he came up with two short documentaries which are ‘Spotlight on location: October Sky’ and ‘DVD preview with Leonard Maltin Vol.1’. Charles debuted as an actor in the film ‘The Girl Next Door’ which released in 2004.

A short documentary on ‘Field of Dreams’ was also released in the same year. Charles Gordon is best known for his production ‘Hitman (2007)’ and ‘Hitman: Agent 47’ in 2015. His latest release is ‘Hitman: Agent 47’ which had been first shown in cinemas on 27th August. It is a crime thriller about an assassin.
