Iwan Rheon

Iwan Rheon is a Welsh television actor who portrays the role of Ramsay Bolton. Iwan was born on 13th May, 1985. His birthplace is Carmarthen which is in Carmarthenshire County. After some years of his birth, Iwan’s family decided to shift to the capital city of Cardiff for better opportunities. In Cardiff, Iwan took admission at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf and participated in their dramas. Later, he chose London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art for his educational purposes.

When Iwan was seventeen years old, he joined Pobol Y Cwm, a Welsh-language TV serial. However, Iwan quit the show to get training at LAMDA. Iwan acted in “Eight Miles High,” a play which Liverpool’s “Royal Court Theatre” had staged in the year 2008. He continued to feature in the dramas such as Spring Awakening. At the Olivier Awards ceremony (2010), Iwan won the title of “Best Supporting Actor” under the category of musical projects. As various production studios noticed Iwan’s acting prowess, Iwan got an offer to feature as Simon Bellamy in E4’s Misfits.

Iwan termed his character Simon as a shy person who can be invisible at his will. In 2011, Iwan tweeted that he would not be a part of Misfits. In 2012, Iwan began shooting “The Rise.” Iwan played Daniel O’Leary in Libertador. In 2013, his breakthrough came when the producers announced his involvement in the critically-acclaimed Game of Thrones as Ramsay Bolton. Although he portrayed the role of a psychopath, Iwan said that he approached the makers for the role of Jon Snow, the fictional character who mesmerized the audience with his calm demeanor.

Iwan is fluent in Welsh and English. Iwan has written lyrics for a couple of singles.

In fact, Iwan was the lead vocalist of “The Convictions” band. In 2010, Iwan collaborated with RAK Studios to record “Tongue Tied EP.” On April 7, 2013, Iwan launched the audio of “Bang! Bang!” before the release of its video. In April 2015, Iwan announced his first album and named it as “Dinard.” Iwan teamed up with his older brother Aled for the track “Rhodd.” Iwan lent his voice to Ramsay’s character in the “Game of Thrones” video game.
