Logan Long

Scenes behind the cameras show the hard work of the make- up artists, who make the celebrities look so different from their real life looks as per the need of the character. Their hard work due to which we are at times not able to even recognize our celebrities in their so called different avatars is amazing. Logan Long is one of the make-up artists and is known for giving special effects. Logan Long completed his graduation from Park City High School. He worked on Productions like “Sleeping Beauty” and “Fire Bird” and salt lake comic con as well. He with his brother started a production company called Red Coral Crew whose first film was ‘Point B’ released in the second half of the year 2013.

He was the production designer for the movie. On January 13, 2015 the world saw Logan Long working with fourteen other make-up artists on reality game show named “Face Off” in its eighth season. He dreamed of making it to the Face Off from his childhood. In his high school, with four of his friends, he participated in a play called ‘Little shop of horrors.’ His friends didn’t pursue it, but he was the only one who enjoyed this work. He then auditioned after making masks for season six and seven of the Face Off but couldn’t make it, but he made it in the eighth season. He prepared an old age mask and chose latex over silicone or gelatin.

He baked it and prepared upper part from the casting latex and the lower part of the mask from foam latex and made a big nose. He created a monster with huge latex hands for the auditions. He was fascinated with the labs there which had many different materials used for giving special effects. He also went to college and a got license for a pilot and worked for nine years with Air National Guard. He aspires to work with theater departments and get opportunities to work with various artists those who make scriptures of the contemporary world. He is married to Sarah, and he says that his wife is very much supportive and all he could achieve is because of her.
