Taika Waititi

Director Taika Waititi is one of the finest film directors in Hollywood. The critics have gone frenzy with his latest release ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ which has fetched $500 million at the box office. Directing a film that is based on Marvel Comics character, one had felt that it would have been really a tough task.

But the director played a Korg character, which was supporting role for him and even given voice too for other characters. Waititi portrayed the characters in the movie through motion-capture technique and he had revealed that new camera technology for a shot in the film.

But it was not just technology but Waititi has revealed that he worked on script "a little bit", mainly adding humor to the screenplay and this seemed to work wonder at the box office.

Now, let us know about Taika David Waititi. He was born on 16 August 1975, in New Zealand. He grew up as a screenwriter, director, and actor-cum-comedian in his career. He became popular in his top-grossing New Zealand movies but even had won critical acclaim too, His short film Two Cars, One Night’ fetched him a nomination for an Academy Award too.

Taika Waititi was an actor in movies (1999-2001), a screenwriter-director (2002-2004), screenwriter-director-actor (2005-2010).  It was for two movies, ‘What We Do in the Shadows' and 'Hunt for the Wilder people', Taika Waititi made his presence felt to audiences as director, actor, producer and director.

Taika Waititi got married to New Zealand film producer Chelsea Winstanley in May 2012. Now they are happily settled with their daughter, Te Hinekahu.
