Jerry Jameson is an American director, editor and producer who works in the Hollywood film industry and television industry. He was born in Los Angeles in California in the United States of America on 26th November 1934. He is known for the movies Raise The Titanic and Captive, and for TV series like the Mod Squad and The Andy Griffith Show.
He is also known as Jerry J. Jameson. Jerry began his career as an editor for television serials like The Andy Griffith Show and Gomer Pyle: U.S.M.C. in 1964. He also edited the television movie The Monk which aired on 21st October 1969. He became an editorial supervisor for various episodes of television series like Rango, Accidental Family, Good Morning World, The Andy Griffith Show, I Spy, Gomer Pyle: U.S.M.C., My Friend Tony, The Guns Of Will Sonnett and many others. He was also the editorial supervisor of the TV films like Cricket On The Hearth in 1967, The Over-The-Hill Gang in 1969, Wake Me when the War Is Over in 1969, The Monk in 1969 and The Ballad Of Andy Crocker in 1969.
Jerry worked as an associate producer for sixty episodes of The Andy Griffith show from 1965 till 1967. He was the production manager of many episode of the soap operas That Girl and Mod Squad. He was the production executive for two episodes of Make Room For Grandaddy. He produced the television flicks Stormin’ House in 1985, Gunsmoke: One Man’s Justice in 1994 and Too Close To Justice in 1997. He produced the 2015 feature film Captive. Jerry directed episodes of Dan August, Mod Squad, The Rookies, Cannon, Search, The Six Million Dollar Man, McCloud, Ironside, The Streets Of Manhattan, Movin’ On and several others. He directed television movies like Heatwave! In 1974, The Elevator in 1974, The Hurricane in 1974, Terror On The 40th Floor in 1974, The Secret Night Caller in 1975, The Deadly Tower in 1975, The Lives Of Jenny Dolan in 1975, The Call Of The Wild in 1976, The Invasion Of Johnson County in 1976, Superdome in 1978, A Fire In The Sky in 1978, Dan August: Murder My Friend in 1980, Gone In A Heartbeat in 1996 and several others.
He directed Hollywood flicks like the Brute Corps in 1971, The Dirt Gang in 1972, The Bat People in 1974, Airport ’77 in 1977, L’arma in 1978, Raise The Titanic in 1980, Last Flight Out in 2004 and Captive in 2015.
