James Griffiths is a British TV and movie producer and director. Griffiths made A Million Little Things, Black-ish, and its Freeform spinoff, Grown-ish. Griffiths directed and produced ABC's Stumptown.
Griffiths started his career directing music albums and later started directing TV series in the United Kingdom. Griffiths directed Free Agents and the principal season of Episodes.
Griffiths produced The Mayor and directed the pilot film Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life and Up All Night. This came after Griffiths directed his first film Cuban Fury in 2014. His 2006 short film, The One and Only Herb McGwyer Plays Wallis Island premiered at the Toronto Shorts Festival, acquiring the Best Short Film award at the Edinburgh International Film Festival and a BAFTA nomination.
In 2019, Griffiths restored his agreement with ABC Studios for an additional two years, which incorporates an improvement contract with his creation organization, Fee Fi Fo Films. In July 2021, it was reported by The Globe and Mail that James Griffins is the Toronto paper's new Asia reporter, working out of Hong Kong for five years.
