She gave birth to him at Bromley in London. After his birth, his father got prompted to compose the famous song named "Kooks" for the album of 1971 named "Hunky Dory". It was David's first release through RCA which is regarded as one of his best works. Duncan grew at different places like London, Berlin and Vevey, Switzerland. He went to Commonwealth American School at Lausanne, which is a city in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, which is the capital and biggest city of the canton of Vaud to complete his first grade and second grade. David Bowie was granted the custody of Zowie when his parents got divorced. He was nine years old at that time. He used to visit his mother during school holidays till the time he was 13 after which he didn't go as they remained estranged. He got enrolled at the Scottish Boarding School when he was 14. When he was 12 years old, he decided to be called by his nickname "Joey" and later "Joe" in the year 1992, but reverted to be called by his birth name around the age of 18. At his young age, he wanted to become a professional wrestler. His father felt that Jones has natural strength and often praised him regarding this. But he did not complete it. He left to the London Film School and completed his graduation as a director in 2001.
