David Koepp is a famous American Director and a screenwriter. Koepp is ranked among the top 5 screenwriters in the United States. His movies have a total gross of more than $2.3 billion. Koepp has displayed his talent in almost every genre: thriller, comedy, fiction, drama, science, superhero, fantasy, action and, adventure. Koepp is best known for his work in the movie Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, War of the World, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Mission Impossible, and the Spider-Man series. Koepp was born on June 9^th1963 in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He was born and raised in Wisconsin. His mother was a therapist, and his father was a businessman who owned a billboard company. He completed his high school education from Kettle Moraine High School in Wales. Since his financial condition was not strong,  he used to work at the McDonalds restaurant. After that, he went to UCLA for completing his bachelor’s in film-making. He stepped into the film industry as a writer. He wrote and produced his first movie in the year 1988 named Apartment Zoo. He later wrote a lot of movies some of which include Why Me?, I Come in Peace, Bad Influence, Toy Soldiers, and much more. In the year 1993, he wrote and produced his most successful movie of all times, Jurassic Park. The movie was a great hit. He also appeared in the movie for a brief role playing the role “Unlucky Bastard”. In the following series of Jurassic Park namely The Lost World: Jurassic Park, he worked as a writer, producer, and a co-director, though he declined the offer to work in the fourth series of the Jurassic Park as he had nothing left to contribute to the script and the story. In the year 2002, Koepp wrote the screenplay for the movie Panic Room for which he was given $ 4,000,000. Later, he also wrote the screenplay of many successful movies like Indiana Jones and Kingdom of Crystal Skull, Ghost Town, Spider-Man and much more. Koepp did not receive as much success as he did while working as a screenplay writer and producer. His movie, Premium Rush in the year 2012, did achieve some success on the box-office but it got stuck in a lawsuit. In 2013, Koepp directed the movie Mortdecai in which Jonny Depp played the lead role. Koepp is currently working on the upcoming Indiana Jones Saga. Koepp has a wife named Melissa, and they have four children.
