Andres Wagner is an American director and writer known for directing the critically acclaimed drama 'Starting Out In the Evening.' Andres is the son of well-known couple Allen and Judy Wagner. He completed his degrees in Creative Writing and Psychology from the famous Brown University. Further, he also attended the NYU's Graduate Film school. His short film 'The Hardest Hit' won the Francois de Menil Scholarship, while attending the NYU film school,. Later he shifted to Los Angeles, United States and wrote a screenplay for United Artists called 'Waccabuc.'

While in LA, he became a Directing Fellow at the American Film Institute where he completed his Masters in Fine Arts. Wagner's first feature film titled 'The Talent Given Us' starred his family members, was selected at the Sundance Film Festival in the year 2005. It also won the Jury Prize at the CineVegas Festival and the best feature film at the Michael Moore's Traverse City Film Festival. At 2005, Gotham Awards Wagner won the Breakthrough Director nominee.
