Darrell Van Citters is an American film producer and Animation Director, popular amongst the audience for his work in animated projects and movies like Oh Noah (2011), Recycle (2008), Captain Sturdy: The Orignals (2001), and The Fox and The Hound (1981). Born on 29th October 1956 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, Darrell began his training from the Character Animation program sponsored by Disney, at the California Institute of the Arts. During his time at the prestigious institute, he also worked at Chuck Jones  Chuck Jones (September 21, 1912, Spokane, Washi >> Read More... ’ studio and Filmation studios. After that, he stepped into the spotlight with Walt Disney Studio, directing a lot of stuff for famous movies and TV series. His last known project at Disney was Soccermania (1987).
In 1987, he moved to Warner Bros. Studios as an animator. But working independently was something he always wanted. So, in 1992, he teamed up with Ashley Postelwaite to form Renegade Animation. In 2001, he bagged the Anne Award for ‘Elmo Aardvark: Outer Space Detective.’ Most of the people in the industry recognize him for the popular animated series Looney Toons and Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. But excluding these renowned projects, the veteran director still has more than forty credits to his name.
