She made another blockbuster thriller-suspense hit “The sound of Music” in 1965 as Maria von Trapp that successfully escaped from the fangs of the SS Recruitment. She received Best Actress from Golden Globe, another Golden Laurel for Best Female Musical Performance and David di Donatello for Best Foreign Actress. She made the movie “Thoroughly Modern Millie” in 1967, the famous Gertrude Lawrence for her 1968 movie “Star!”, love comedy film “Darling Lili” in 1970. She slightly loosed her limelight as her time passes through movie industry.
