Kyle Abraham is an American choreographer, born in the city of Pittsburgh’s, Pennsylvania. The beginning of his dancing career was at the Civic Light Opera Academy and then followed by Pittsburgh creative and performing arts school. He has received bachelor’s in fine Arts from Suny Purchase and his master’s degree in fine arts from the NYU Tisch School of arts. Before the settlement of his very own company, A.I.M (Abraham.In.Motion) in 2006, Kyle had worked for several companies mainly, David Dorfman Dance (DDD), Bill T.
Jones and Arnie Zane Dance Company, Nathan Trice/Rituals, The Kevin Wynn Collective and even forward with Dance Alloy and Attack Theatre. For the expansion of his company, Kyle looks forward to his experience and then ultimately fused the dance forms with music. In the year 2009, Dance Magazine placed Kyle among the 25 must-watch celebs.
Further dance magazine explained as “ equal parts power and grace.”For his masterpiece, The Radio Show in 2010, he was awarded Bessie Award. Kyle’s performance in The Runaway and Fall Fashion Gala for the New York City Ballet in 2018 is recognized as the best dance performance of 2018 by the New York Times.
