She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Ithaca College. Tish has written and adapted more than 40 Dr. Seuss novels after his death. She has authored over 135 books for children, including “Sesame Street, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Blue's Clues, Bear in the Big Blue House, and Curious George.” Tish started writing “The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library,” a new series of nonfiction science novels for young children, in 1996.

She's authored eleven novels to help young readers grasp science concepts, including "Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go!” Her other famous book, “My Oh My—A Butterfly!” was included in one of the top 40 children's books of 2007 by “Bank Street College of Education.” "The Association of Educational Publishers" recognized her essay "The Best Dressed Guest" with a "Distinguished Achievement Award." Nick Jr. Magazine published her phenomenal workpiece.

Tish has also written screenplays for shows including “Clifford, I Spy, and The Country Mouse, Clifford's Puppy Days, and the City Mouse Adventures” on kid's television. She has also created and produced children's songs for “PBS Kids, Nickelodeon, Fox, and HBO Family, among others.

Tish Rabe is the author of almost 160 children's books. One of her primary works includes “The Cat in the Hat's Learning Library.” The book consists of 18 volumes. She worked as a member of Reach Out and Read Connecticut's advisory board. She is passionate about early childhood literacy. Tish is a proud mother, grandmother, and stepmother. She splits her leisure time between New York and Connecticut.

In 1995, she wrote “Random House," a rhyming book about a small dinosaur named Maurus O'Raurus. The publishing house rejected her work. She later joined a project started by Dr. Seuss just before his death in 1991. In 2014, she entered the Reach Out and Read CT Advisory Board, a non-profit organization that provides free books to children from low-income households. She wrote, “Love You, Hug You, Read to You!” She encouraged parents and caregivers to read the books to their children. The book includes interactive questions that help children learn to read quickly and efficiently.
