Norman Ray Bridwell was born on 15 February 1928 in Kokomo, Indiana. He was an American author and cartoonist. His most famous books include the Clifford series, the story of a big red dog named Clifford. He got an idea of this story from his drawings. This series was available in 13 different languages, with more than 126 million copies already sold. The genre in which he writes stories in Children's Literature. He got many rejections despite that he; overcame all of them and proved to be a successful writer and illustrator.
He has written almost 120 books on the Clifford series. Among them, the best was the Clifford Collection, Clifford Halloween(Clifford). He was one of the wealthiest cartoonists with a net worth of around $1.5 Million. Speaking about the personal life of Norman Bridwell, he married Norma Harvard and has a daughter Emily Elizabeth and his son Tim. He died on 12 December 2014 in Edgartown and at Federated Church, his funeral held.
