Craig Barlett, full name Craig Michael Barlett was born on October 18, 1956 in Seattle, Wasington, United States. He is an animator by profession. He started his professional career in acting in the year 1985 at the age of 19.
He got married to Lisa Groening (Matt Greoning’s sister, creator of Futurama and the Simpsons). The couple have two children, Katie and Matt. He completed his is education and graduated from The Evergreen State College located in Oympia, Washington. He learnt the art of stop-motion animation at Will Vinton Studios (Prtland, oregon) and practised on the movies like “The Adventures of Mar Twain”. In the year 1987 he helped Nic Park to animate “Penny” cartoons for CBS (Pee Wee’s Payhouse). In association with Klasky Csupo for NBC, he created an animated I.D.
He also directed projects like “Mystry Lodge” (Knott’s Berry Farm) and “Postcards” while working at BRC imagination Arts. He worked for “Hey Arnold” continuously for 6 years from 1995 to 2001. He also editted few seasons of “rugrats” and while working for it, he came in contact with Nickeloden. He found his very own production company in the year 1986 and named it as Snee Oosh Inc. Barlett left Nickeldeon due to some disputes with the release of the secon part of Arnold movie and started workin with Cartoon Network for the movie “Party Wagon”. In the year 2005, he again started working with BRC for the project “Shuttle Launch Experience” based on Kennedy Space Centre (NASA) situated in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
For this project, in the course of 3 years, he talked to 26 astronauts and asked them about their experiences while woring out of the planet. After this project, he worked for “Unstable Fables: 3 Pings and the Baby” (an animated film) with The Jim Hensn Company. Alongwith this, he also worked for “Sid the Science Kid”, a preschool show, as a story editor in association with Linda Simensy, a PBS executive. In September, 2008, Brian Henson produced a preschool show named “Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train” on which Craig worked individually. It was released on September 7, 2009. He also worked on “Ready Jet Go!” in April 2015 which premiered on February 15, 2016. Finally, in the year 2015, November, Viacom declared that Barlett woud write “Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie” and worked in association with Nickeloden. He has also worked on various other projects like “Return Of Oz” “A Claymation Christmas Celebration” “Jonny Bravo”, etc.
