Wayne Lopez is an actor, director, producer, writer, singer, and stand-up comedian, known for his role as Juan Alonzo on the show Dexter. Lopez was born in New York Click to look into! >> Read More... City as Maceo Xavier Cugat. He grew up in Dover, Delaware, and forayed into acting when he was only thirteen. Wayne began his acting career in theatre with Black & Tan Ensemble. The versatile actor was also a part of the DelState Hornets Football team while he was pursuing studies at Delaware State University. But due to injuries, he had to abandon his career as a football player. Wayne pursued his further higher studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Wayne is a professional singer who has toured with many bands. On returning to New York, Lopez crossed paths with Stuart Dillon, with whose help he got an opportunity to act in commercials and become a voice-over artist. Initially, Lopez sang in subways and worked as a stand-up comedian. As a singer, he also gave performances at Apollo Theatre.
Besides the above accomplishments, the multi-talented actor also worked as a lead vox, percussionist, master of ceremonies, and choreographer for about eighteen years before becoming an actor. He worked as a consultant with SEARS Home Improvement in New York for four years. He also worked with ABC Supply in sales. For another four years, he was a sales consultant with Allied Building Products until 1998.
Later on, moving to Los Angeles, he acquired fame as an actor specializing in comedy and drama. He has featured in many short films in different roles. They include Palmarejo, where he played Pablo and Left at the Rio Grande, where he featured as Clemons.
He played other roles like Raul in Ventana, Tony in the short Ken, Tom Jacobson in Difficult to Stay Alive and Die, Jim in John Delaney Died Last Night, and pawnshop owner in The Gun. He featured in TV movies like Help Desk and Final Approach. His feature films include G. I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and The Soloist.
 Lopez, nicknamed Cito, has made appearances in many television series that have become a household name in the U.S. He has been a part of shows that include Criminal Minds, Queen of the South, and Grey’s Anatomy. He has also appeared in the series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Brothers  & Sisters, NCIS: Los Angeles, and several episodes of HollyWayne as Wayne, among others. He essayed Bob the court clerk or clerk in eight episodes of the show Raising The Bar.
He is also a certified Hypnotherapist who earned his certification at Holmes School of Hypnotherapy and a volunteer with several organizations like Special Needs Network Inc., Impact- WB Team Warner, and Unidos- Warner Bros.
