Sacha Dhawan was born in Greater Manchester, England, on May 1, 1984. He is an English actor who has performed on stage, in cinema, and voice-overs. He was born to Indian parents who were from the Punjabi city of Jalandhar. He began performing at the age of twelve after receiving training at Manchester's Laine-Johnson Theatre School. He went to Stockport's Aquinas College. Dhawan has worked in several television shows in the United Kingdom. In addition, he is a skilled tap dancer. He began performing in recurrent parts in the children's television series "Weirdsister College" and series two and three of "Out of Sight" in 1998.
In the 12th series of "Doctor Who," he played the Spy Master. He was the first non-white actor cast in this role for television, specifically the first British-Indian actor. "The Lady in the Van," "The History Boys," "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," "National Theatre Live: Allelujah!" and other films have included him. "EastEnders: Perfectly Frank," "Last Tango in Halifax," "An Adventure in Space and Time," "Not Safe for Work," "The Boy with the Topknot," "Thunderbirds Are Go," and other dramas have featured him. His stage credits include "England People Very Nice," "East is East," "The History Boys," "Pretend You Have Big Buildings,"Â and Alan Bennett's "Allelujah!" For his show "Bradford Riots," he gained the Royal Television Society Award for On-Screen Breakthrough in 2007.
He has also provided voice work for video games such as "Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes," "Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age," "Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series," "Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2," and more.
