Peter Facinelli is an American actor, screenwriter, director, and producer, known primarily for his roles as Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the Twilight Saga, Dr. Fitch ‘Coop’ Cooper in the comedy-drama television series Nurse Jackie, and Maxwell Lord in the first season of Supergirl, the superhero television series. Facinelli stepped foot in the acting field with the 1995 flick Angela. Facinelli portrayed the character Lucifer in the flick helmed by Rebecca Miller. The film focuses on two girls who try to overcome difficulties faced due to their mother’s psychological problems.

The Twilight Saga actor caught the attention of both critics and the audience with his performance in the 1995 television movie The Price of Love. Facinelli portrayed Brett in the film written by Ronald Parker and helmed by David Burton Morris.

He met his ex-wife Jennie Garth on the sets of An Unfinished Affair, the 1996 TV movie where he featured as Rick Connor. Peter’s character Rick is the son of Alex Conner, a teacher who has an affair with one of his students, Sheila Hart, played by Garth.

Facinelli is credited with other movie projects like After Jimmy, Calm at Sunset, Touch Me, and Dancer Texas Pop. 8. He featured in flicks like End of Innocence, Riding in Cars with Boys, and Tempted. His other movie projects include The Lather Effect and Finding Amanda, among others. 

In 2010, he founded his production company Facinelli Films, which produced the movie Loosies, written by Facinelli. The film focuses on a young pickpocket who has to counter a woman with whom he spends a night earlier making her pregnant. Peter plays Boby Corelli in the romantic drama.
