He has been taking acting lessons since a young age. He attended the New York State Theatre and The Albany Academy during his initial years of learning theatre. He was also involved with the Albany music scene. He was the lead singer in a local band named ‘Method of Groove’. He helped ‘Coheed and Cambria’, the band, to earn them their first brand deal. He was also a part of the Collins Tour company for Jonathon Larson's musical named Rent where he played amongst the lead characters with the name ‘Mark Cohen’.
He made his debut in television in 2001 in a daytime soap opera, ‘One Life to Live’ as a recurring character in the series. In 2005 he appeared in the movie ‘A History of Violence’.
