Menaka Devi

Menaka Devi is a famous actress. She was born in Varanasi in 1918. She was interested in music and dance since childhood due to which she came to Mumbai and worked as a child in many films like Prince Thaksen (1929), Uttara Abhimanyu, and Iswar Ki Maut. She started her acting career in 1929 with the movie Thaksen Rajputra. G.P. Pawar directed this movie. While doing playback singing, she continued her acting career and worked in another 1936 movie Sunehra Sansar. Debaki Kumar Bose directed and wrote this film.
