The series also features Gourab Roy Chow, who acts as the male protagonist, ‘Ujaan,’ in the drama show. The story revolves around Pakhi, a young and bright woman who is quite excited to get married. Being an optimist, she dreams of a wonderful man and to be in a happy marriage with him. But before her dream of a beautiful marriage could come true, many obstacles come in her life. What are these challenges? How does Pakhi deal with them? The show deals with that. 

The show begins by portraying the high-spirited energy of the protagonist Pakhi as she and Tukti take Phuli from the palanquin and run away. Soon, the villagers turn up at Pakhi’s uncle’s house to complain about her mischievous act. Later in the episode, under some severe circumstances, Pakhi's father is taken to the hospital. Disheartened and scared of this sudden disaster, Pakhi has a bad dream and gets anxious. Meanwhile, Pakhi’s father, Rabin dies. Kush goes to the village to give the news about Rabin’s sudden death. Pakhi is broken, but being the strong woman she is, she pulls herself up. 

As the story progresses, Kush enquires about the village Badalpur, while the actors of the jatra stop him. Pakhi luckily finds Kush and runs away with him. Sona gets worried thinking about Kush's actions. Somehow, Khush does not remember the events that took place the previous day. Everyone’s in huge shock, specially Pakhi’s family on seeing both of them together. One fine day, Kush's brother asks Pakhi to give him Rabin's address. Later, he visits Rabin's house.

Later in the story, Rajani and her family misunderstands Kush for a prospective groom for Kusum. Kush starts developing a slight attraction towards Pakhi and becomes sure of his feelings when he sees her making natural 'alta'. He gives his company's card to Pakhi, and asks her to visit Kolkata. Things take a dark turn in the show when Pakhi’s uncle gets beaten up when their neighbours demand their money. Pakhi tries to take care of this disastrous situation by taking her ailing uncle to the hospital. Later, she goes near her father’s dead body. But unfortunately, she fails to see her father's dead body. To seek some help, she visits Kush. She becomes upset when she gets embarrassed in front of Kush’s family. Samar and Kiran both pretend to not know Pakhi while Kush, who suffers from memory loss, too fails to recognise the girl she likes. This causes much insult to Pakhi as she was already heart-broken and hopeless.
