Movies Directed By Nandita Roy

Nandita Roy, a phenomenal director, was born in 1955 in Mumbai. She had completed master degree in economics. Initially got the job as a primary school teacher; then she became an assistant director and fit dresser. She started her own company and created many feature movies. She worked as co-director with Shiboprasad Mukherjee since 2011. Here is the list of her top 10 works.

1. Belaseshe

“Belaseshe” (2015), a Bengali drama movie, was directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee. This movie was about the lives of an elderly couple, Biswanath and Arati. They decided to live separately. They were together for 50 years. Their family and friends were shocked by their decision. When they announced their decision, many series of challenges and events came up and these events showed relationships, love and societal expectations.
