Raima’s breakthrough film came in the year 2003 through the Bengali drama film, Chokher Bali, which is based on Rabindranath Tagore’s novel of the same name. After that, she did some average films and became critically acclaimed for her performance as Girish (Playmate of Vidya Balan’s character) in Pradeep Sarkar’s musical romantic drama film, Parineeta, in 2005. Raima had done two more hit films in the same year; first is the Bollywood action spy thriller film, Dus, and the Bengali film, Antarmahal.
