Later in 1993, she decided to start an acting school in Mumbai named after her father, “Ashok Kumar’s Academy of Dramatic Arts” to look out for talented individuals to act in her TV series. The acting course was about six months long and furnished talent to a maximum of 15 students. Her attempt to search talent around encouraged many upper-middle class families to conquer their hidden acting talents.
