Mithun Eshwar is a South Indian violinist, pianist, playback singer, music composer and music director who works in Malayalam and Tamil films. He was born on 21st January in Calicut, Kerala. He is known for his work in 10 Kalpanakal, Vidyutham and Sooraiyadal. He is also a part of band “The Unemployed”. Mithun studied at the St. Joseph School. He studied Bachelors in Business Administration from Farook College in Kozhikode in Kerala. He earned his MBA degree from Madurai Kamaraj University in Bangalore in Karnataka. He earned the eighth degree in piano and violin from the London Trinity College. Mithun made his film debut with the Tamil film Eesal in 2010. Mithun made his Malayalam film debut as a music director with the movie Oru Nuna Kadha directed by Johnson Thankachan and released on 29th July 2011.
He was the music director of the Tamil movie Kadhal Theevu directed by Vetri Veeran which was cancelled. He worked in Black Coffee which was one of the last films of the legendary Tamil Actor Thilakan. The film was directed by Soujan Joseph and released in 2013. In 2013, he started working for Tamil Horror Santhithen Unnai which was later renamed Vidayutham and released in 2016. The film starred the 2008 release Slumdog Millionaire actress Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar and was directed by N. Nakamaned. In 2014, he composed and sung in the Chennai Women’s International Film Festival’s anthem song with P. Sreejith, Ala, Hyde Karty and his band the Unemployed. His song Guppa Kuppa Pattu from the film Sooraiyadal was released on 31st December 2013. It went viral on Youtube by January of 2014.
Sooraiyadal’s audio was launched on 4th February 2014 and the movie was released. His latest film release was the Malayalam movie 10 Kalpanakal directed by Don Max and released on 25th November 2016. In the film, he composed music for S. Janaki’s last song Ammapoovinum before her retirement. On 23rd September of the same year, his film Koppayile Kodamkattu directed by Soujan Joseph was released. On 1st and 2nd November 2014, Mithun’s band the Unemployed performed in the Season 3 of Music Mojo on the Kappa TV. The band also performed at the Mumbai Women’s International Film Festival 2016. Mithun released a Malayalam devotional album Prarthana in 2012. Mithun released his solo album I’m Not Lonely on 27th June 2015 under the label Sony Music which had seven songs which included the official song in English and Tamil versions.
