Plot
Chandu(Ravi Teja) is passionate about kickboxing and revolves around his mother and girlfriend. One day his mother dies and tells him to meet his dad Raghuveer(Prakash Raj).

”. Ravi Teja is a template commercial star who fits in this role like a glove. Jayasudha as the doting mother is also phenomenal. Prakash Raj does play negative roles pretty convincingly but here his character arc is confusing and his character is underwritten but he does a fantastic job playing the role of an absent father. Asin is mainly restricted to glamor but she does a good job and makers really should dab into giving her meaty roles because she can do them.
Analysis
The film’s story wants an emotional connection and implements that easily. The relationship between Chandu and his mother is the driving force for this film and Ravi Teja and Jaysudha do a fantastic job bringing that emotion on screen. The first half of the film is for establishing characters; it does get tiresome to the point the main turn starts in the second half. Prakash Raj’s character is underwritten, and his conflicts don't make sense. There is no revelation as to why he left Jayasudha; his character is angry mainly, and that’s about it. The direction Puri Jagannadh has given his actors is odd, for example Chandu talks aggressively. If the context is like that then it's okay but he talks to everybody in this manner, that doesn't make any sense. You can’t add the commercial template in a normal conversation. The actors do their job well. The songs of the film are good and one of the highlights. Suppose you step in for this movie having no idea then it's an average film. It does the mass touch on point. Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi is an average film with fantastic performances and an enchanting soundtrack.
