Ravi Kumar Bhaskarabhatla born on June 5, 1974, in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was brought up in Rajahmundry among five siblings. He got passionate about literature and got the inspiration from his maternal Grandfather Aravelli Rajagopalacharya, in his early years of childhood. While he was in Rajamundry he used to visit Gouthami library and it influenced him to approach into poetry.
He got encouraged by looking at the movie posters. He attended his B.A. in Telugu and did a job as a film journalist in Eanadu, Hyderabad for over 10 years. Later he stepped out of his job to pursue a career in the film industry. Ravi Kumar got married to Lalitha, a B.Sc graduate from Warangal on August 13, 1998. They have two daughters Amanta and Samhita. Ravi Kumar first appeared as a Lyricist in the year 2000. The first film he worked in was of the director E.V.V.
