Kandikonda is a South Indian lyricist who writes songs for the Telugu film industry and the Telugu television industry. He was born on 13th October. He is known for the songs Gala Gala Paruthunna from Pokiri and Chennai Chandrama from Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi. He wrote the lyrics of more than five hundred songs. Kandikonda attended high school at the Sharat High School in Hyderabad.

He attended college at the Osmania University in Hyderabad from where he earned an MA in Political Science and a Master of Arts degree in Telugu Literature. Kandikonda made his television debut by writing the lyrics for the title song for the daily soap opera Arundhathi, directed by Shehu Kumar. His version of the title song aired on 24th May 2010. Anup Ruben composed the music and Nitysri Mahdevan sang the song.

Kandikonda wrote the lyrics and co-ordinated the launching music video for the launch of the Telangana American Telugu Association on 5th April 2015 at the Royal Albert Palace, New Jersey, the USA. The Telugu music video was uploaded on Youtube on 28th March 2015. Kandikonda wrote the lyrics of the V6 Bathukamma Song 2016 for the V6 news channel on the occasion of the floral festival of Bathukamma which lasts for nine days in Telangana. The Telugu music video aired on the channel and on Youtube on 29th September 2016, and received over five million and eight hundred thousand views.

Kandikonda gave an interview on the TV show Special Chit Chat which aired on 30th September 2016 on V6 news channel, where his V6 Bathukamma Song was the main topic of discussion. Kandikonda gave an interview to the program Close Encounter which aired on the TV9 channel. His latest music video is the song The 100 Years Of OU which celebrates the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the Osmania University. He wrote the lyrics and conceptualized the song. The Telugu music video was a V6 Special which aired on the V6 News channel and Youtube on 14th April 2017.
