Chandrabose

Other names of Chandrabose: Kanukuntla Subhash Chandrabose

Born on 10th May in Andhra Pradesh, Chandrabose is a Tollywood lyricist and singer. He got a degree in Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad.

He started his career as a singer with Doordarshan but with no success after which he switched to being a lyricist. He was introduced to the director of the movie Gharana Alludu, Muppalaneni Shiva by his father’s close friend.

With some help from M.M. Sreelekha, a well- renowned music director, Chandrabose wrote his first movie song Manchu Kondalloni Chandramaa in 1995. He then went on to write music for many other movies such as Pellam Oorelithe (2003), Avunu Valliddaru Ishtapaddaru (2002), Budget Padmanabham (2001), Azaad (2000), Linga Babu Love Story (1995) and Joker (1994).

Chandrabose has also worked as a writer in many other films, some of which are as follows Murari (2000), Budget Padmanabham (2001), Mrigaraju (2001), Manjunatha (2001), Kushi (2001), Daddy (2001), Student No.1 (2001), Hanuman Junction (2001), Takkari Donga (2002), Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru! He won the Best Lyricist Award by Filmfare Awards South for Kanipinchina Maa Amma in Manam (2014) and Entha Sakkagunnave in Rangasthalam (2018). He also won the Best Lyricist Award by Nandi Awards for Nee Navvula Thelladanaanni in the film Aadi (2002) and Cheekatito Veluge Cheppenu Nenunnanani in the film Nenunnanu (2004). He won the Best Lyricist Award by SIIMA Awards for Kanipinchina Maa Amma in the movie Manam (2014), for Entha Sakkagunnave in Rangasthalam (2018), and Srivalli in Pushpa: The Rise (2022) and also won the Best Lyricist Award for the film Pushpa: The Rise (2022) by Santosham Film Awards.
