Rajendran is a biggie businessman who wants his legacy to be continued after him. When his first two sons, Jai and Ajay, are aiming at their father’s chair, the third son, Vijay, has a different aim. When Rajendran makes Vijay his business heir, his elder sons are furious and join the arch-rival of Rajendran. How Vijay proves to his brothers that he is the right successor for his dad and how he unites his split family forms the rest of the plot.
Vijay’s performance looks more mature, and he has done an excellent job. Rashmika plays a regular heroine, and her chemistry with Vijay works well. Jayasudha is good in her emotional performances, and so does Sarathkumar, and Prabhu . Prakash Raj is a usual villain, and the rest of the cast has done what is needed.
Vamsi is well-known for his sentimental movies, and his bilingual film, “ Thozha Click to look into! >> Read More... ,” was celebrated well in Tamil. After a gap, he directed a Tamil film, and it is evident that he knows the pulse of the Vijay fans and family audience. The film has emotional elements to attract the family audience. However, the content is not unique and is a mix of most of the hit family entertainers in Telugu. The production design is neat. The dialogues could’ve been better. The second half looked a bit stretchy. The cinematography is good, and the editing is decent. The songs are foot-tapping. The Amma song by KS Chithra is mesmerizing.
What’s Not There?
Varisu is a decent family entertainer, and hopefully, the Vijay entertainer would satisfy his audience after a long gap.
