The only exceptions were the sci-fi drama Kalki 2898 AD, where he played an extended cameo of Supreme Yasskin, and Amaran, which was produced under his production company, Raaj Kamal Films International. Sivakarthikeyan played the lead role of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was posthumously awarded with the Ashoka Chakra for his actions in Kashmir Valley.
Kamal Haasan is currently working on multiple projects, including the much awaited reunion with Rajinikanth. He is also attempting to revive the three decade old project Marudhanayagam, based on a former freedom fighter of the same name.
