Ghantasala Sai Srinivas Thaman Siva Kumar, also known as S.Thaman. He is an Indian film composer, who also works in Tamil and Telugu industry. He is famous for giving his best. He started his career in the film Boys. He then became famous for his passion towards music director. His debut film as music director for Tamil was Sindhanai Sei and for Telugu was Kick. S.Thaman was born on 16th November 1983 in Andhra Pradesh. He is the grandchild of Ghantasala Balaramaya, who is known for producing the Telugu film Seetarama Jananam. Thaman, a 28-year-old hails from a family of musicians from Pottepalam. His father Ghantasala Siva Kumar was a Drummer; mother Ghantasala Savitri is a playback singer and his aunt P.Vasantha is also singer. Thaman married Vardhini, who is a playback singer.
At the age of nine, he joined with S.P. Balasubrahmanyam and G. Anand as a rhythm pads player. He discontinued his studies due to his father’s death. He then joined Raj-Koti team and worked for thirty-three years on sixty films. He then joined with M.M. Keeravani and worked for three years and completed thirty films. He spent six and a half years in the tutelage of Manisharma for completing eighty films. Thaman acted in Boys film as a Drum player. Aagadu was his 50th film as a music director. Thaman says the relationship between music director and director should be like husband and wife. He spends lots of time in sharing plans and views with the director to know what he wants from him. He received a lot of applauds for his composition in the Telugu movie
Race Gurram. Thaman says not even single tune has been rejected at the time of composition because directors invest more energy and year for the script to reach the people. And his huge plans, was to construct a big studio in Hyderabad and Chennai wherein he can spread the joy of music. Finally his words for upcoming composers is to do a lot of live performances.
