Vamsi Paidipally also called as Vamshi, is a Telugu and Tamil movie director and screenwriter who has been in the industry for eight years. His directorial debut was Munna, a Telugu film in the year 2007, which is about a college student and his struggle to kill Don Kakha. The movie fared well at the box office, and its soundtrack was a huge success.

Vamsi’s first movie Munna in 2007  proved to be a disaster at the box office.

Vamsi is most known for directing the films, Brindavanam (2010), which was a decent hit. This movie is from the rom-com genre which starred N.T Rama Rao Jr., Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles. His next film, Yevadu, which released in 2014, was one of the top grossing movies that year. It stars Ram Charan, Shruti Hassan and Amy Jackson in lead roles. Currently, he is working on Oopiri, a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, featuring the dashing Nagarjuna and Karthi in the lead characters. The film is slated to hit the screens on March of 2016.

As of now Vamsi is the strong contender for the second film of Nagarjuna’s son Akhil. This is due to the reason dad Nagarjuna is very much happy with the way Oopiri is shaping up. Oopiri is based on the Hollywood movie The Intouchables.
